Monday night, Jan. 29, thieves targeted several unlocked vehicles in the apartment complexes off of Northumberland Way, police said.
So far, five residents have reported that their vehicles were ransacked and valuables were stolen. Police are working diligently to investigate these cases, but are asking for the public's assistance in reporting any additional incidents, as well as locking up their vehicles to prevent additional thefts.
Anyone who believes their vehicle was targeted but who has not filed a police report are requested to do so. Anyone with information on the thefts from motor vehicles is asked to contact Detective Benbow at (732)329-4000 ext. 7443.
